Lara looks only a bit better ro me …. I’m so sorry to tell that you again, Tom. I know that you invested so much time in her improvements … but for me she looks now like a normal Lara that you can see from some other 3d artists. Lara lost her detomasso flair. Your previous versions had something special … Your Lara was unique. You could see out of 100 Lara versions, which one was yours.
Lara’s old eyes, her pukered semifulled lip shapes were perfect … also her breasts, waist and hips. Her skin haven’t had so many birth marks.
I am so sorry and A have so many pain in my heart, that you old Lara was replaced through the new one. Excuse me Tom. Don’t want to disappoint you. Do you like your new Lara more than your older version? I know you are the artist … and if this the way you love your beauty more … than it is this the right way for you … but you will disappoint some of your old friends and fans … and sure you will lose some of them. And I hope also that you will find new fans that love your new version.
I agree and disagree. I think she looks a lot more better than the other post, but yeah, I agree she doesn’t look like toms lara anymore, just another 3d, of course the highest quality 3d, lara. I’m in no way going to go anywhere, but I still really, really prefer the old lara.
I agree as well. I thought the previous model of Lara was head and shoulders above anything Crystal Dynamics has used in their recent reboots. It’s just hard to understand why this change was necessary. Reminds me of when New Coke was introduced in 1985 and I couldn’t comprehend why they changed it and just wanted Coca-Cola Classic back!
I love her! :D Is this the same model you showed off a few weeks ago with new face modifications? Or is it an updated version of the model you used previously? Regardless, she’s absolutely beautiful, and I love her big eyes. I can’t wait to see what you do with her, and hopefully we’ll see more of her pretty feet in action soon! :) Have a wonderful week, Tom.
Hey Tom, you know I absolutely loved your old model and I actually didn’t see a nessecity to switch it up. Though I can understand that you don’t want to stop at one point and work with the same model over and over again but instead evolve and try out some new things. And after a short phase of skepticism I also really liked the recent new model. Of course most of the commentators are right and I have to admit that it lost a lot of that unique DeTomasso charm, though I thought that in it’s own different, more realistic way it came pretty close to another perfect model, that I would have liked to see more of.
Now you switched it up again and after I once more had a little bit of a bad feeling when you first twittered a pic of her, I now after those short two days got used to the model already and am enjoying it pretty much like the others. Obviously you tried to take the middle way and bring back some of the old model’s unique charm, most notably the eyes.
I know you want to please as much of your viewers as possible, but I guess you as well as us viewers have to accept that one can never please everyone and that tastes are different from one to another by nature. :)
So, while it’s exciting to see you working on tweaking the model I would actually prefer you to take courage, pick one of the models and get it ‘back’ into action and usual DeTomasso business as soon as possible. ;)
Don’t get me wrong, those posing pictures are great and obviously Lara’s model is center and base of all your works and therefore nothing to save ressources on, but I just enjoy it even more when she’s getting into some steamy hardcore action.
And while you pretty much work with one model all the time it shows off so many different facets depending on what you make her do: even this post’s two posing pictures create a different expression and when Lara isn’t just posing, but pleases herself with a toy, eats out her best friend’s pussy, jerks off dicks with her feet or gets DPed by two futas those differences get even bigger and I would really like to see those new models starr in some of the latter named scenarios! :D
So, I imagine that a lot of the critism on your last posts isn’t easy to read through but I really hope you don’t get demotivated by that, but take strength out of the feedback and continue with your amazing work instead! ;)
I think you went back a little too far with the cartoonish big eyes. If you were to make them just a tad more realistic than this one, back toward the previous post style it would be to her benefit. i think the middle between last post, and this one for her eyes would be the key. :) Also nice work on the nipple placement, my brain doesn’t think twice about it anymore. Please keep her looking realistic, you are a brilliant artist!
This model is OKish…) But, 2 previous models were better in my opinion (1st is your perfect standart model and the second one recently released).
The level of detail and work you’ve done to it is brilliant, no doubt in that. But I hope you’ll bring yours “detomasso-ish” model back. Basicly what Cosmic74 said :)
Still, trying new variables is a way to progress, so I hope all of this is to the best!)
I love the new Lara, she’s just gorgeous. She has an angelic face, shining eyes and enticing lips. I just melt from her glance. Your Lara is the best!!!
Tom, I am a long time fan and wanted to register to post.
I know you may be discouraged by some of the feedback since your July 9 model update. However, I want to say that I think you should keep working on that model as it has great potential. Don’t get me wrong, the model you had was amazing and there was no real need to change if you didn’t want to. In fact, the following is one of my favourite renders you’ve done: https://www.detomasso.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/slide_L209.jpg – The way the stomach droops a bit around the navel is very natual looking vs. the more rigid looking “abs of steel” from recent renders. I just think it’s great!
I personally feel (and I hope I’m not alone) that your July 9 update has a lot of potential that maybe you feel you were running out of with the old model. In my opinion, the face you developed for the July 9 model is very realistic with room to develop. The eyes are fantastic, especially the way you developed the depressions or “sleep lines”, for lack of a better description. It’s really grown on me, even though I loved the previous model. I really think you should keep refining the July 9 model.
Regarding your new model in this post from July 23, the face and eyes are just too… cartoon-like or artificial. I don’t want you to take that as an insult, I just can’t think of a better way to describe it.
In closing, I personally feel that your July 9 update is great and you should not abandon that. Even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with your pre-July 9 model, if you feel that you came to the end of its potential then you should do what you feel is best. The July 9 model is great and only you know what areas should be refined. I think people will learn to appreciate it once you develop some more provocative scenes with the July 9 model.
Tom, it’s been a few days since my post and this new model/face has really grown on me. Maybe you can proceed with this version but have the other as a separate character.
I really don’t like posting negative comment on your artwork but I feel like I need to share my opinion. I’ve been a fan of yours since 2014 I think….My favorite thing about your work was that your Lara felt very different from the real one. It was like an elseworld Lara Croft with unrealistically pretty face and curvy, smooth skinned body. That being said, this new model update hit me like a truck…I really hope you’ll reconsider continuing development of her old model, if not….oh well ;( I guess I’ll have to wait until next model update until next year or whenever that will be.
Ever think about creating an artwork of Lara in an oversized shirt, no pants, and just being lazy? Figured I’d ask since I’d love to see one! As for the new model I feel that it is good and most defiantly has room for improvement, and could possibly even surpass your old model. Anxiously waiting for your next piece(s)!

I agree, I can’t really find this one appealing compared the older Lara models.

Exactly what I was thinking. It’s like she lost her iconic look

The face in the second pic is just… amazing :)

Hi everyone and Tom. In my opinion, the “Larrra and behind the scene” is the best design of Lara. This last one looks a little… underaged.
